Nijinsky and Lester Piggott by Jacqueline Stanhope. Owned by Charles W. Engelhard and trained at Ballydoyle in Co. Tipperary by the legendary Vincent O'Brien, Nijinsky was an outstanding racehorse and the winner of the Triple Crown (2000 Guineas, Epsom Derby and St. Leger) in 1970. He was bred by Windfields Farm in Canada and was by the great Northern Dancer out of Flaming Page by Bull Page. He stood his entire career at Claiborne Farm, Kentucky, becoming a champion sire in the USA and Europe. Ridden here by the great Lester Piggott.
