Born in London in 1942, Dexter Brown studied between 1956-1960 under respected painters such as Fred Cumin RA and Ken Howard RA at Harrow College of Art. Dexter Brown hosted his own exhibition in Alexandra, USA at the Monte Carlo Galleries and at London's Thackeray Gallery, it was at this time in 1967 that his work truly gained its recognition. He was also elected RI in 1967 following exhibitions at the RBA and RI in London. For the past thirty years Dexter Brown has been on the automotive art scene. Ferrari and Prrsche have featured many of his images in mass media such as advertising and magazines. He has been the suject of features and articles throughout Europe due to his unique talent and his techniques in expressing and portraying abstract racing images. |
