Surgeon Major Thomas Egerton Hale by Hussaly.

Winning his VC while serving with the 7th Regiment, Royal Fusiliers, at the Siege of Sebastopol. Under heavy fire, he carried several wounded men across open ground to safety, 8th September 1855.
