Commander N H Bovey OBE DSC
Served as a Sub-Lieutenant RNVR (Pilot) in 831 Naval Air Squadron flying Barracuda from the aircraft carrier HMS Furious. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for undaunted courage, skill and determination in carrying out the daring attack on the German battleship Tirpitz on 3rd April 1944.
