Max Immelmann by Ivan Berryman.

Max Immelmanns Fokker E.1(E13/15) shooting down a Vickers Gunbus during the Summer of 1915. Immelmann is characteristically already scouring the sky above for his next victim.

The First Ace - Max Immelmann by Ivan Berryman.

Perhaps the greatest exponent of Fokker's Eindecker series of aircraft, Max Immelmann is credited with 15 aerial victories and was the first fighter pilot ever to win the coveted Pour le Mérite. He was killed on 18th June 1916 during combat with British FE.2B fighters of 25 Sqn.

Tribute to Eduard Böhme by Ivan Berryman.

Eduard Böhme is depicted here in his Fokker E.I in September 1915. Flying with Kampfeindecker Halbabteilung, or 'half-flight of monoplane fighters', a unit attached to Feld Flieger Abteilung 9b, he shot down two Farman aircraft on the 25th September in this aircraft. He reportedly landed near his second victim, destroying his landing gear in the process. He was killed in a similar aircraft just a few months later in January 1916.
