Fairey IIID by Michael
Turner. Fairey IIID's served from 1924 to 1930. It could
be used either as a seaplane or landplane, and was employed as both.
It mainly served in the Middle East and home waters, but was used for a
great number of roles throughout its service. In all, 227 Fairey
IIID's were built.
Specifications : Two or three crew. 46ft
1in Span, 31ft 5in / 36ft 1in Length, 12ft / 13ft Height (difference is
for seaplane configuration) 120mph maximum speed. Armament : 1
x 0.303in Vickers MG, 1 x 0.303in Lewis MG, 4 x 20lb or 25lb bombs.
